A new Sunday School class at First Baptist Church for Young Adults!

As our Church continues to grow, we continue to add additional services and ministries as God directs.  We are very proud to now offer our Young Adults Sunday School class.  This class will be taught by Pastor Denver Ayres and his wife Ginny.  The class is intended for married couples with school aged children.  The class will also temporarily serve as a home for our single adults.  The Young Adults Sunday School class will meet every Sunday at 9:15 a.m.  We have given a great room for this new class.  The Young Adults will meet in the former Prayer Room or Adult I classroom.  This room is located between the Church library and Computer Lab.

Here is a copy of an open letter from Pastor Ayres inviting young adults to this new Sunday School class:

I pray this letter finds you doing well, physically, mentally, and spiritually!  Life can be difficult, the older I get and the older my children get, I find that life is no picnic!  God is awesome, refreshing my soul and spirit each time I meet with Him!

God has created us to be relational (a very Biblical concept), not only with our spouses and immediate family, but in the family of God through the local church.  When we isolate ourselves away from the insight, prayers, and fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ, we are missing out on something designed by God to meet very real needs in all of our lives!  Unfortunately, this need cannot be met in the preaching hour alone.

For this reason, I am starting a new Sunday school class for Young Adults!  I am very excited about the opportunity to form new relationships and I see this class ministering in the church in areas not yet realized!  I believe this class will undoubtedly strengthen your marriage, strengthen your parenting skills (if you have children), and help each of us to build solid, meaningful relationships with fellow Christ followers!
